A very rare ‘Falconer’ Pashiz

ISLAMIC, Umayyad Caliphate. temp. al-Walid I ibn 'Abd al-Malik, AH 86-96 / AD 705-715. Pashiz (Bronze, 18 mm, 1.71 g), Kazerun, without date, struck circa AH 81-102= AD 700-720. Sasanian style bust to right; behind and before head, AFZUT GDH ('may his kingship increase' in Pahlawi). Rev. The 'falconer', with long floating hair, on horseback to right, holding undetermined object in his left hand; to right, star instead of the mint name Kazerun in Pahlawi. Album 45N. Gyselen, type 35B. Very rare. Some deposits and with light corrosion spots, otherwise, about very fine.
